Reflections on CALD Mentorship

I have a piece reflecting on my CALD Mentorship (and perils of monoculturalism) in Peril. Actually, it is also about how many writers possessed of non-Anglo sensibility struggle to get recognised as equals in our literary culture and why that is so (some thoughts, suppositions & approximations).

And here are some very lovely (and generous) reflections from the writers who did the CALD Mentorship with me through Writers Vic.

Peril, by the way, is an Asian-Australian online magazine of arts and culture – there’s much that is good on their site, the kind of stuff you won’t find in (m)any Australian mainstream publications in our glorious Asia’s Century. And, of course, the editors are working for virtually no money, which drives me nuts.
