Rachel Buchanan ‘Stop Press’

Rachel Buchanan’s book ‘Stop Press: The Last Days of Newspapers’ is out. Rachel asked me to co-launch it with Sybil Nolan who edited all three of my books and who I consider a dear friend. And what a beautiful night – I so admire Rachel’s incorruptible self, her fearlessness, her humility, her love of words. There was a certain wonderful purity about the night. No one was on the make. No one was networking. Rachel sold all of the books they had there. And people were clearly, deeply emotional.
